Presley Max Weatherly, age 81, of Garland, Texas passed away on August 9, 2024. Max was born July 16, 1943 to L.P. and Catherine (Chapman) Weatherly in Royse City, Texas. He married the love of his life, Linda Grace Flowers, 50 years ago in June of 1973. Max proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy. After his service in the U.S. Navy, he was a farmer and truck driver. Max was of the Methodist Faith and was devoted to his Lord and Savior. He loved working in the yard and spending time with his family and was especially proud of his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Max is survived by his loving wife, Linda; children, Deonna Stevens, Jerry Williams, Karen Shaw; many grandchildren and great grandchildren; siblings, Linda Barker and her husband Phil, Letha Bost and her husband Richard; along with a host of loving extended relatives and friends. Max was preceded in death by his parents; son, David Williams and grandson, Joseph Deuson. A visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 13, 2024, 6:00-8:00 pm, at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills. A funeral service will take place on Wednesday, August 14, 2024, 10:30 am, at Lynch Funeral Home Chapel in Caddo Mills with Pastor Jimmy Stripland officiating. Interment to follow at the I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
