Reverend Benny H. Cook, 84, of Balch Springs passed away on November 18, 2021. He was born on May 28, 1937 in Covington, Tennessee to John and Katie Cook. Benny was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. He was the one and only true love of his wife, Linda Cook, of 36 years. Benny and Linda met in Paul's Valley, OK in October of 1984 and were married on January 1st, 1985. Reverend Benny Cook pastored House of Prayer in Pleasant Grove for 12 years before he retired. Benny is survived by his children: Jeanie Dickens and husband William of Mesquite, Betty Ray of Watauga, Mike Cook and wife Becky of Atlanta, GA, Paul Cook and wife Shelly of Covington, TN, Patricia McGee and husband Melvin of Arlington, Leonard Seth Pride and wife Kimberly of Amarillo; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandkids; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his son Benny R. Cook; mother, Katie Creasy; father, John T. Cook; 2 sisters; 2 brothers. There will be a funeral service at 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 21, 2021 at Faith Assembly of Seagoville (2200 Ferrell Dr., Seagoville, TX 75159). Visitation will be 1 hour prior to service at 1:30 pm. Interment will follow service at IOOF Cemetery in Caddo Mills.
