Ronald (Ronnie) Westmoreland passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2022, at his home in Caddo Mills, Texas. Ronnie was a fifth generation Texan born in Fort Worth, Texas, on August 14, 1934. He is predeceased by his wife of 67 years, Betty Ann Stewart; sister, Linda VanNess; and parents, Cecil Westmoreland and Nora Treadwell. He is survived by his wife, Jean Shoffner; sister, Teresa Adcock; son, Ricky Westmoreland and his wife, Cathy; daughter, Glenda Smith and her husband, Doug; son, Bryan Westmoreland and his wife, Elizabeth; as well as eight granddaughters and nineteen great-grandchildren. Ronnie was a published author, a longtime calf roper, an avid outdoorsman and enjoyed forging knives. It was Ronnie's wishes, for his ashes to accompany those of his predeceased wife, Betty Ann Stewart, who passed away on Saturday, July 28, 2018, at their home in Caddo Mills, Texas. Betty was a 6th generation Texan, born in Fort Worth, Texas. She was predeceased by her sister, Barbara Shubert; brother, James Stewart; and parents, Irvin Stewart and Hatti Peterson. She is survived by her three children and their spouses, eight granddaughters and nineteen great-grandchildren. Betty worked many years as a veterinarian's assistant, and was a devoted wife, mom, grandmother and great-grandmother. Our fondest memories, will always be of her love for spending time with her beloved family on Easter, Christmas, and at the annual fall family gathering.
