Obituary

Russell Leroy Dell, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on July 24, 2026, at the age of 66. Russell was born on October 27, 1959, in Greenville, Pennsylvania, to James Edward and Margaret Mae (Schuber) Dell. Russell dedicated his career to the skilled trades, working as a welder and iron worker. He proudly retired after 28 years as a member of Local 263. Throughout his career, he took great pride in helping build structures that continue to serve the Hunt County community, including Ford High School and Hunt Regional Medical Center. His hard work and craftsmanship leave a lasting legacy that will stand for generations. A man of the Christian faith, Russell was known for his strong work ethic, his dedication to his family, and the quiet pride he took in providing for those he loved most. Russell is survived by his loving wife, Donna Dell; his son, James Dell; his daughters, Angela Miskell and Mary Trent; his brothers, Norm Dell and George Dell; his sisters, Carrie Brown and Della Vatter; 13 cherished grandchildren; five great-grandchildren, brothers-in-laws and sisters-in-laws, and extended family and friends, all of whom will miss him dearly. He was preceded in death by his parents, James Edward and Margaret Mae (Schuber) Dell. A family-led memorial service to celebrate Russell's life will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel of Hope, 239 Joy Road, Quinlan, Texas 75474. Though Russell's hands helped build countless structures throughout his lifetime, the greatest legacy he leaves behind is the love he shared with his family and the memories that will forever remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. memorial service Saturday, August 1, 2026 10:00 AM Chapel of Hope 239 Joy Road Quinlan,Texas 75474
