Russell Wayne
Holland
Oct 12, 1951 — Dec 20, 2025
Russell Holland, 74, of Greenville, Texas, passed away peacefully on December 20, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on October 12, 1951, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Herbert Holland and Doris Holland (Griffin). A proud veteran, Russell served his country in the United States Air Force with great distinction. Through years of dedication, discipline, and hard work, he advanced in his career and was hand-selected to serve as a Crew Chief on Air Force One, supporting presidential operations during the administrations of Ronald Reagan and George H. W. Bush. Following his military service, Russell continued his career as a highly skilled aircraft mechanic, a trade he mastered through precision, commitment, and pride in his work. Russell was a devoted family man whose life was grounded in love, loyalty, and faithfulness. On December 27, he and his beloved wife, Carolyn, would have celebrated 51 years of marriage. Together, they built a strong and loving family. Russell had a joyful spirit and took great pleasure in life's simple joys—he was a lifelong fan of cartoons and sci-fi movies, admired nice trucks, a good margarita, enjoyed playing his weekly scratch-offs, and especially loved decorating his home with lights during the Christmas season. He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Holland; his son, Kevin Wayne Holland (Vicki); and his cherished grandchildren, Noah and Olivia Holland. He also leaves behind his brothers, Bobby Holland (Janece) and Billy Holland; his sister, Patsy Goudy (Von); and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, extended family members, and dear friends who will miss him deeply. Russell was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Doris Holland, and his brothers, Tommy and Johnny Holland. Russell Holland will be remembered for his unwavering dedication to his family, his honorable service to his country, and the quiet strength and kindness that defined his life.
