Sandra "Sandy" Grimes, 76, of Caddo Mills, Texas, passed away on August 30, 2025. Born on April 21, 1949, in Avenal, California, Sandy's life was a testament to her profound love for her family—both the one she was born into and the one she built for herself. For 21 years, Sandy was a pillar of the First Baptist Church of Caddo Mills, where she cared for countless children in the nursery. She considered her church family to be just as important as her own, and her unwavering faith guided her in all things. Sandy had a gift for making every family member feel special, and no one ever had to wonder if they were remembered; a birthday card or note was always on the way. Sandy spent many years as a dedicated secretary, ending her career at the Phoenix School in Greenville. When she wasn't working or spending time with family, she could be found happily engrossed in a good detective or cooking show. Sandy is survived by her husband of 38 years, Joe Grimes; her children, Stanley Russell Brannum and wife Jamie, Joshua Evan Cobb, and Angela Katheryn Brannum Nelson. She also leaves behind her beloved grandchildren, Deryen Peña and partner Jesse, Terence Garcia, Kiria Cobb, Johnathan Brannum, Bailey Brannum, Evan Cobb, Arianna Brannum and Liam Nelson, and her two great-grandchildren, Jacob Rodriguez and Kiya Peña. She will be deeply missed by her brothers, Clyde Collum, Larry Collum, and Johnie Collum; her sisters, Bobbie Lott, Neoma Ricalde, and Jerry Haggstrom; and a great number of nieces, nephews, and friends who were all touched by her kindness. She was preceded in death by her parents, Russell and Ruby Collum, and her siblings, Manuel Dean Collum, Louis Jepp Collum, Otis Collum, June Howard, and Danny Collum.
