Tammy Denise Rice, 62 of Greenville Texas, peacefully went to be with her Lord on August 18, 2024. Tammy was born on June 28, 1962, to Billy and Sharon Underwood. She was proud to be raised in Quinlan Texas, where she excelled in athletics, carrying on the family tradition of playing basketball. She loved God, her family, and many friends. Tammy married Russell Rice on June 26, 1982. They shared 42 years of love and friendship. Known to many as Ms. Tammy, she spent over two decades teaching and practicing Tai Kwon Do. Tammy accomplished the rank of 7th Degree. Tammy enjoyed riding her Harley, traveling, Classic Rock concerts, and supporting Oklahoma Casinos. Tammy is survived by her husband, Russell; mother, Sharon Underwood; brothers: Tommy and wife Lisa Underwood, Timmy and wife Trina Underwood; sister Tracy and husband Albert Hernandez; aunt, Sheila Krodle; in-laws Thurston and Glinda Rice, Philip and Teena Rice; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Tammy was preceded in death by her father, Billy Underwood; sister, Toyia Gilliam; grandparents, Arnie and Mildrid Allen, and Charlie and Ruth Underwood. A memorial with friends and family will be held at a later date.
