Wanda Lee (Waymire) Loras, age 82, of Quinlan, Texas, passed away on October 17, 2026. She was born on December 6, 1943, to Calvin and Mary (Fortmer) Waymire.

Wanda was a hardworking and determined woman who knew how to enjoy life to the fullest. She was the owner and operator of Loras Industries and had also worked in the cafeteria for Garland ISD. A master gardener, Wanda had a special appreciation for nature and enjoyed sharing her knowledge and passion with others. She was also a talented writer who contributed numerous gardening articles to the newspaper, sharing her love of gardening and her expertise with readers. Whether she was working hard or enjoying life, Wanda embraced every opportunity with enthusiasm and spirit.

Above all else, Wanda cherished her family. They were the center of her world, and she treasured the time they spent together. Her greatest joys included making memories with her loved ones, especially her four great-grandchildren, who held a very special place in her heart. Wanda's love, strong work ethic, and zest for life will be remembered by all who knew and loved her.

She is survived by her loving partner of 28 years, Richard Page; her daughter, Renee Epperson; her grandchildren, Justin Morris and wife Keisha, and Cameron Epperson and wife Lexi; and her four great-grandchildren, Bradley, Audry, Bella, and Zoe.

Wanda was preceded in death by her parents, Calvin and Mary Waymire, and her eleven siblings.

Wanda leaves behind a legacy of hard work, a passion for gardening, and, most importantly, a deep and abiding love for her family. She will be dearly missed by all those fortunate enough to have known and loved her.
